Developing your own art style is a deeply personal journey that requires immense dedication and courage. It involves exploring your unique perspective, experimenting with different techniques, and ultimately finding a voice that resonates authentically with you.
However, convincing others to embrace your artistic vision can be a daunting task. Many artists, like Hilma af Klint, have faced skepticism and resistance from the mainstream art world. Af Klint's quote encapsulates the struggle of pioneering artists who feel ahead of their time, yearning for their work to be understood and appreciated in the future.
Despite the challenges, staying true to your artistic vision and persevering in the face of adversity can lead to groundbreaking contributions to the world of art.
On the left, my artwork: 'The Queen'; on the right, 'The Hermit'.
I appreciate @batsoupyum recent initiative to support the NFT art market during its darkest days, but itโs just a bandage on a deep wound.
@mondoir@CozomoMedici@punk6529 buying thousands of "JPGs" over the last few years, 99% of them are now worth zero.
The current NFT ecosystem has largely failed from minting and sharing to displaying and copyrighting.
@SHL0MS So you do recognize the distinction between craft and fine art after all. Thank you for proving my initial point, even if we disagree on the categorization of the work.
"Olga and Boris: The Story of an Unbroken Promise"
This abstract and philosophical artwork about the the love story between Olga Ivinskaya and Boris Pasternak, the author of Doctor Zhivago. Olga was arrested twice and endured years in a labor camp, where she suffered deeply, including being forced to abort her child, all due to relentless pressure to betray Boris and his work. Despite this torment, their bond remained unbroken, symbolizing resilience and unwavering devotion.

@SHL0MS The word 'Art' goes back to its Latin root 'Ars' which meant making things with precision. However, artwork belongs to the realm of fine and visual arts, not to mere craft
@SHL0MS I didn't bail. The burning car isn't the artwork, it was just the marketing campaign. Itโs no different than Justin Sun eating the banana to drive hype.
The formula is the same: Influence โ art.
@SHL0MS Nice trap. Koons is a master of market manipulation, but his work still requires immense physical production, scale, and material presence to existโฆ
@SHL0MS I'm talking about the phenomenon where massive social media power lets you name anything "art" and sell it. Pak did it, Justin Sun does it, and you're following the same blueprint.
@SHL0MS Honestly, the most impressive thing here isn't the AI, it's your engagement rate! Amazing how you've managed to get the entire X community talking about your piece. ๐
Comparing todayโs NFT ecosystem to Impressionism or Van Gogh is ridiculous.
The issue was never digital art. The issue is that NFT ecosystem failed at almost every layer: minting, discovery, sharing, display, copyright, and long-term cultural value.
Most projects optimized for speculation, not art.
True digital art longevity requires independence. @refikanadol and @beeple prove that if you own your ecosystem, you donโt have to care about marketplace crashes nor nft whales. The current NFT status quo has failed and the future belongs to those who own the infrastructure.
While I respect the effort to fund artists, these partnerships are a band-aid on a bullet wound. The NFT ecosystem is currently failing at every stage from minting to copyright enforcement. Without a fundamental shift in how digital assets retain value, these projects end up as little more than engagement farming that leaves artists with devalued portfolios and no long-term security.
