Thank you, Minneapolis!
While this wasn’t the outcome we wanted, I am incredibly grateful to every single person who supported our grassroots campaign.
I’ll keep fighting alongside you to build the city we deserve. Onward.
Today, Duluthians overwhelmingly voted “YES” on Question 1 to pass Duluth Right to Repair, with the ballot question earning nearly 70 percent of the vote! https://t.co/IQrETZwZFI
Happy Election Day!🗳️
I started off my day in the Howe neighborhood, at Dowling Elementary School with @TakeActionMN & MPLS Families for Public Schools!
We chatted with MPS parents in support of @OmarFatehMN for Mayor!

Since being elected to congress, Ilhan Omar has always been one of the strongest national voices in our country for peace. Silencing Ilhan is an attack on democracy, and an attack on the voters of CD-5. TakeAction Minnesota and our members are always on team @IlhanMN
The same newspaper that runs fluff pieces about Jacob Frey's mustache is running a smear campaign against Omar Fateh and his wife. It's almost like this newspaper is owned by a billionaire republican...
This is exactly what Mpls voters are sick of: the insider games and the backroom decisions.
There has never been a more important time for you to get involved in this campaign.
Join us for a rally & knock this Sat, kick-off in NE Mpls! https://t.co/U9PP68IFsW
I’m finding these words from @_waleedshahid, Uncommitted organizer, deeply resonant today: “We were Dems trying to warn them. The coalition had a fracture, plain as polling on Biden’s age or the price of groceries. But as with those concerns, party leaders brushed them aside.”
There’s nothing neutral about choosing to focus on whether rules were followed instead of focusing on the will of the people. Regardless of intention (see: many other tweets), the impact of this decision on the @MinnesotaDFL is not good & now we must all contend with it.
This all makes me deeply, deeply concerned for our ability to deliver for the 2026 elections, where every statewide & legislative office is on the ballot and that ballot is a key barrier between us MNs and the billionaire & corporate Trump agenda.
"When the donors don't get the outcome that they want through the party process, they go to a super party process outside of the norm to try to reverse the decision of the delegates. It's an extremely short-sighted thing to do, not just tactically but philosophically,"
It is inexcusable to overturn the DFL endorsement from Omar Fateh.
A small group, a majority living outside Minneapolis, met privately to overturn the will of Minneapolis delegates who volunteered, organized, and participated in a months-long DFL process.
Unacceptable.
Jacob Frey showed up to a DFL convention with barely more than 30% of delegates. Then the most normal thing happened: he lost. And bc he's a very special mayor, endorsement overturned! Proving the process goes much smoother if you shrink it down to a committee of party officials.
I joined @OmarFatehMN in organizing ahead of and during the DFL Convention. I had conversations rooted in pride in Omar’s track record (like passing a minimum wage for Uber and Lyft drivers and FREE college for working families) and rooted in hope for what’s possible in mpls..🧵
