“When we were younger, we couldn’t afford to go to conferences unless we knew someone there. We could buy a plane ticket, but not an Airbnb. So we decided we wanted to create more opportunities, and brought hackers from across LatAm to EthCC. Then we said: we need to keep doing this.”

Let’s talk about @stephanvasement ⚡️
An artist who consistently creates mysterious AI imagery - distinct from most of what’s being produced today.
His work often features powerful animals set in dark, shadowed environments, carrying an undercurrent of danger and anger.
What draws me in is the frenetic, chaotic energy running through his images. To me, it perfectly mirrors the intensity of our current technological moment.
The uniqueness of his work doesn’t come from the use of AI itself, but from the world it portrays: one moving faster than people can keep up with. A world accelerated by AI, and yet, instead of robots or overtly futuristic structures, we’re confronted with something far more primal.
going through all of my belongings lately and found this sheet of paper from march last year.
something i wrote when i felt stuck, couldn’t get ideas out, and had no idea what i was making. shortly after, it turned into the comfort computer.
trying to trust my messy beginnings more.
