What I love most about OT is the ability to be creative! No matter if you are a school based OT or an OT in a nursing home, there are infinite ways to adapt your treatment plans to make them fun and engaging for your clients!

When someone faces a barrier that limits them from independently participating in living their life, OT's can step in and help them achieve their goals of occupational engagement!

Humans are occupational beings! This means that everything we want to do, need to do, or have to do during the course of our days are considered occupations!

Many people confuse the term "occupation" with a term relating to people's jobs or with employment. Although they are partly right, the term occupation means SO much more to an OT!

I am always so amazed at the diversity within our field and at how many different settings we can make a difference in! However, this factor can make it confusing for the general population to fully understand the work that we do.
