Just realized that an article I wrote is the number one search result for the phrase "how to receive an award." That's cool, but what's even better is that in this article, I discuss shitting my pants. #personalbrand
Excited to see @growandconvert make this shift in our messaging. It's a better reflection of the value we've been bringing to clients for years (which always went way beyond content marketing).
We have a new website headline/subhead for @growandconvert.
We feel like this headline better communicates the value that we deliver to our clients. Less about "blogging" and "content marketing" and more about delivering results through rankings and conversions.
Urban Triage is an incredible organization doing amazing things in Madison & Dane County. Please consider joining me in donating to support the launch of a youth homeless shelter! https://t.co/QQRZfIPO0d via @keeladotco
I don't have a strong stats background but I did excel at algebra. Am I missing something or does this graph make no sense? Is this supposed to be half of a 4-quadrant matrix? or is the Y-axis "investment" below the intersection with the X-axis, but "receiving value" above?
@deveshkhanal He's consuming content while preparing breakfast for his two kids. He's classy (placemats) but is in such a hurry that he forgot the plates.
I think it would be incredibly satisfying to drive through an inactive interstate highway work zone (like on a Sunday) at 70 mph and just hit every single orange barrel for like a half mile.
@jimmy_daly Turns out, really good content usually ranks really well if you truly meet search intent. Check out what my colleague at @growandconvert says about SEO writing. https://t.co/MpPxCR4hCQ
@benjihyam@magdalenakala True - but then the pull of being in the same country as your family is still really strong. I've tried the nomad thing, and discovered that community and family were more important than an exotic life. Plus 8+ hr time diffs suck even if your whole job is asynchronous.
@benjihyam@magdalenakala I think smaller cities (like Madison) are going to explode because of this trend. I don't expect to see lots of remote workers flocking to the country. The cultural draw of city life is too strong.
Had a breakthrough with marathon training this weekend. Found a fueling solution that seems to work with my gut.
The bad news: it involves drinking 400 calories of flavorless carbs before my long runs.
@TKDano Start in the middle - start wherever you know the meat of the article is. Come back to the beginning later. It'll usually be obvious how much context you need to provide in the intro to set up the great arguments you've just written.
In 12 months, I got a software testing toolβs blog to rank in the top 3 spots for 26 keywords with extremely high buying intent β and Iβve never written a line of code in my life. Hereβs how I approach writing about topics I don't have expertise in.
