George R.R. Martin says social media is dominated by 'anti-fans'
"Toxicity is growing. It used to be fun talking about our favorite books and films, and having spirited debates with fans who saw things different… but ... it is no longer enough to say “I did not like [this] book ... or [this] film, and here’s why.” ... [people] would rather talk about the stuff they hate than the stuff they love, and delight in dancing on the graves of anyone whose film has flopped"
Actually it isn't a bad idea. Let me reword it a bit. I believe this would work well: "Could you share how your company's DEI initiatives promote an inclusive environment for every employee, including those from diverse and traditionally represented groups to foster overall belonging?" This would pull out everything you want to know about the orgs environment it also is worded to sound genuinely interested.
Recommended question for all white, male job applicants:
"Do you have a DEI group in this company, and if so, how can I be sure I would have equal opportunity for advancement here?"
