Honestly, it's impressive how good the people that control everything are at keeping us divided. Race, Sexual Preference, Politicial beliefs, Religion, etc. Even the people who call it out and want to stop it are making it worse and doing their work.

I dont think we can win.

@okiepatriot_76 Yeah, if you're working a job that only pays minimum wage, thats on you. Hell, Wal-Marts are paying something like $16-$17 to start out.

There are a lot of people who just dont want off welfare, so they get jobs that keep them under the threshhold, whether it be rate or hours.

You may be right. These state candidates aren't as openly scrutinized as a typical US politician so when people dig up "dirt" on them, it seems like a much bigger deal.

I wish money was a non-factor in elections. I wish they couldn't take money from rich donors and lobbyists. The sad reality is that they all do, and the ones that don't rarely get elected. I'm not going to hold it against candidates for taking campaign contributions unless they have a repeated history of working against the people and in the best interest of the donor. When it comes to taking contributions like that, they're essentially all the same when it comes down to it.

This does not surprise me at all, but I don't value Trump's endorsement like most of MAGA. He tends to endorse idiots that are going to sabotage him, like Lindsey Graham. I don't think Mazzei is in that class. I think we have 4 really good conservatives running right now and any of them will be a vast improvement over Stitt.

Honestly, I just feel sorry for people like you. You're so obsessed that you can't even reply to a wonderful feel-good story about kindness without interjecting your hate of MAGA into it. The funny thing is the real world MAGA supporters are nothing like what you dream up or have been brainwashed to believe.

I'm not a fan of that either, but it isn't a big enough issue for me to base my entire decision on. There are a lot more important things to worry about. The governor approving of or disapproving of it will not determine whether it gets approved or not, but I'm pretty sure he is just playing political games by changing his stance.

I would not vote to mandate a kill switch in every new car beginning in 2027! I would not vote to keep secret the records of Congressmen who have used our taxpayer money to pay off victims of their sexual assaults from a House slush fund! I would not vote to give foreign countries $5B in "aid" while our debt is at $39 TRILLION! I would not vote to re-allocate $315M to a liberal propaganda NGO already killed off by DOGE! I would not vote to protect companies like Monsanto from lawsuits by the people who are suffering from cancer caused by their pesticides! Shall I go on???
