Hope you can join Nick, Charlie and I on the 3rd February. My lecture was in 2013 at RCOT conference Glasgow, Nick was delivered in 2018 at RCOT conference Belfast & Charlie in 2025 online. My lecture for a quick reminder for myself https://t.co/DHNZkq8r1A
Don't forget! At this conference, we are particularly keen to chat to OTs in the East Midlands and Lincolnshire areas about how independent practice is an Option Too. 🙌 #OccupationalTherapy#IndependentPractice
Very proud and excited to be on my way to #WFOT2022 Poster presentation with @clarejones1963 and Penny Morisey. Many thanks to support from @ElizabethCasso1 and @CU_HLS
Are we still describing the people we treat by their diagnosis? Is this what we should be modelling to our future workforce? I thought as OTs we had moved on from this language?
OT students on placement with the Vascular team attended the Physiotherapy outpatient amputee clinic to gain an understanding of the process of a new amputee being assessed & fitted with a prosthetic leg. This is an opportunity the Band 5 OT's also have on their Vascular rotation
Osteoarthritis is largely a clinical disorder. That is, your problem is required to fit a cluster of findings
Imaging is for suspicion of serious pathology and surgical planning only.
Changes without correlation are just that. Normal age changes.
Here is the ACR/NICE hip
I do hope this isn't happening. Come on HEIs this needs addressing in your placement educator training events. There are many reasons why a student may want some space. Do OTs get assessed on their PPD annual review about lunch time behaviour??💚
It is unacceptable to suggest this. HEIs need to be educating the professions about apprenticeships. They are of the same academic standard as a traditional degree, benchmarked against the same professional and HCPC registration standards and open up opportunities.
Apprenticeships are still being viewed as the educational underdog. This is simply not true as they have the same robust underpinning educational framework as the traditional degree. More awareness required to help people understand the benefits of this training route👍

So excited to see this opportunity finally come out! Come and work @nottmhospitals and be part of @Notts_ICS working across the system with AHP colleagues from @AHPNottsICS. This is a fabulous opportunity for AHPs & lots of peer support @AHPsNottsHC@SFH_ChiefAHP@NancyMannersAHP
