Two of our evening leagues are still looking for teams! Monday Open which plays at 5pm/7pm/9pm and allows any combination of M/F curlers has room for 3 more teams. And Evening Ladies Fixed has room for 2 teams on Tuesdays at 5pm. #curling#ottawa
The donations stack at the club is mightily impressive. Please do join @TeamThorneCurls in donating items for the families affected by last month’s tornado by dropping your stuff off at the club.
After a busy weekend at the club, Monday returns. We had a huge turnout for the Open Houses, and around 35 rookies turned up for the first session, and we saw the first weekend for the Mixed Doubles ladder challenges. #curling#hurryhard#sore
The @OVCAcurls Brokerlink SuperSpiel is coming to the club at the end of this month. We’re looking for volunteer timers. Check the website for more details.
The Scots are coming! A team of 24 Scottish curlers are coming to the Ottawa Valley. For Nov 1st, we’re looking for 16 intrepid curlers to take them on. You can register through the website at a cost of $20 which covers an 8-end game followed by lunch. https://t.co/CNGWsmcf5Y
Wednesday rolls around. As we hit hump day, a busy weekend of curling is coming up. Weekend Mixed starts up again on Friday, the Open House is Saturday, and Rookies Rock starts up on Sunday. #curling#busy

With just over a week to go - the Granite’s Open House is still accepting registrations. Please bring a friend, there are leagues still in need of players, so some fresh meat - I mean, new players to the sport would be amazing. Details at: https://t.co/Ert2sr7G97
It’s #ThrowbackThursday - what was your most memorable shot? Mine was a through the port double, knocking two opposing stones out of the 4 foot to sit three and put the game beyond the reach of my opponents. #tbt#curling
As the rain falls in Ottawa, the club is open and curling is happening whatever the weather. Rain, sleet, snow, and (apparently) tornadoes won’t stop us. #GoodCurling
@TeamThorneCurls are collecting donations for disaster relief in the wake of last week’s tornado. Non-perishable foods, clothing, blankets, towels can be dropped off at the club or email [email protected] for collection before October 8th.
