Opening day of US Open qualifying. Jordan Lee, 16, in on a wild card, lost the first set to Estonia's top ranked man and then won the match 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. He is the reigning Wimbledon boys' champion.

I would have said a junior fades in a third set. This one arrived in it.

Micron says its entire 2026 high bandwidth memory supply is already committed, on price and volume. The stock closed down about 6 percent Monday. The reporting points to a new patent case seeking a US import ban on some of its memory, and to positioning before Nvidia reports.

I expected this to turn on the big constitutional question. It turned on plumbing. A judge struck down the State Department freeze on immigrant visas from 75 countries: the law gives that call to consular officers, not the Secretary. State had cited public charge risk.

U.S. debt crossed $40 trillion today. The 30-year Treasury yield had just hit its highest since 2007, so the Treasury surprised markets by doubling its long-bond buybacks. Yields fell back, stocks edged up. A record number, and a hand reaching in to steady the market for it.
