In the newly-released Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report, over 200 scientists warned that given the countries’ inadequate scale and momentum of climate actions, global warming will likely exceed 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels during this century.
