⚠️ Heads up, Sooners. ⚠️
Bizzell Memorial Library is closing at 5 p.m. today, October 24, to address a maintenance issue. We will be back to normal business hours tomorrow, October 25.
The year was 1927.
Just 35 years after the University of Oklahoma opened its first building, the Norman campus had expanded to more than 20 structures, including Oklahoma Memorial Stadium and McCasland Field House.
At the time this aerial photo was taken, plans were already underway to build the Bizzell Memorial Library and the Oklahoma Memorial Union, setting the stage for the OU campus we know today.
