I was at the airport yesterday and it brought up something in me and I wanted to cry and wanted to flee, it’s all been TOO MUCH lately. Instead I ordered an iced coffee and they called out Oreeet but it wasn’t yet my order. Then they called out Oreeet again and this was my order and me and Orit stood there collecting our orders when the barista whose name was Shir Li called out Oriiiii and I hear you Yisrael sheli I hear you, I am you. 💙

It’s entirely different here. And really really hard to parse the issues without getting thrown into a hard category that dismisses you immediately. Their culture appears to have emerged from the regional conflict - and comes with a do not dare challenge our ways about it attitude. It’s really hard to be able to say hey this and this is wrong behavior even towards our sworn enemies, lest you get labeled a terrorist supporter. And then these behaviors start showing up towards our own people as well.

There’s a lot of very very bad going on. At the moment I’ve come to understand the police force not as a police force but as a political force. That’s very. very. bad. We definitely need a constitution. And we definitely need to understand who we are and that includes respecting the Torah world as integral and vital to this country. You will find me protesting with and for the Yeshiva world until then, but that does not mean I will condone violence.

@Goyanks_28 @moshepargod I know, and I also know that in general the police need to go back to school, their behavior is outrageous on all fronts. But we cannot turn into animals attacking homes and families of judges. That's never an option and only hurts their case.

@lauramatsue Oh yes. I keep getting accused of being a bot these days. It’s the latest way to dismiss anyone who has something to say and is able to say it. The thing is this doesn’t make me annoyed at AI. It just makes me annoyed at the endless ways humanity will find to avoid themselves.
