Some chatter currently happening from our attendees:
"It’s super helpful to get new ideas of how we can make an impact as individuals. Sometimes it can feel helpless knowing the impact that big businesses have on the environment..."

"Starting out with skipping the straw can lead to remembering your reusable bag which can lead to calling your representatives to make change." -Maggie Ostdahl @NatlAquarium#OLSxWorldOceansDay#WorldOceansDay
"We’ve identified 13 sectors in our society where people use plastic. When I think about solutions, it’s diversifying.
If I had an unlimited budget I would find an entrepreneur in every sector in society & fund them." -Markus Eriksen @leaplabglobal#OLSxWorldOceansDay
When it comes to what we can do in re: to #plasticpollution : "People & companies have way more power than they realize. Ring the bell to ur HR department. Tell them the amount of plastic pollution the company produces is impacting you." -@DanSimonsSays#OLSxWorldOceansDay
"We should always be thinking of seafood as a partnership. The ocean has been so generous to us, and we're asking it to do more and more every day." -Sarah Schumann, Fisherwoman #WorldOceansDay#OLSxWorldOceansDay
3. Get fluent with a question you’ll ask when you're out shopping or eating at restaurants. 'What’s your plan to eliminate plastic pollution?' Start a convo. Vote with your dollar.
4. Vote with your vote." - @DanSimonsSays@FoundingFarmers#WorldOceansDay#OLSxWorldOceansDay
"There are 4 things that come to mind.
1. Pick 1 thing in your personal life and replace it so it doesn’t have plastic. For me, I use toothpaste bites instead of tubes.
2. Pick 1 at work. For me it was plastic straws. Replace it with something sustainable or eliminate it.
