Three sisters contributed ₦6 million each to help their only brother relocate to the UK.
They expected that once he settled, he would help bring one of them over.
But months passed. No money. No gifts. Nothing.
Then their eldest sister finally told him:
“You're settled now. It's time to bring another sibling over.”
His response?
“I'm bringing my girlfriend first. I need to start my own family.”
The sisters were shocked.
After some pressure, he finally asked for her account number and sent her ₦6 million.
Then came the message:
“I'll settle the others later…”
Be honest
Was the brother wrong, or is he right to
prioritize his girlfriend and future family?
Who's right? Let the palaver begin.

NYSC STORY CORNER
She Cried When She Saw Her NYSC Posting Letter. Months Later, She Didn't Want to Leave.
When Zainab opened her NYSC posting letter, the first thing she did was cry.
She had been posted to a state she had never visited, hundreds of kilometres away from her family and friends. All she could think about was how she would survive in a strange environment, away from everything familiar.
Her mother tried to console her, but Zainab had already made up her mind that this was going to be the worst year of her life.
The first few weeks were exactly what she feared. She struggled to adjust, missed home terribly and often wondered why she couldn't have been posted closer to her family.
At her PPA, she barely spoke to anyone. She would finish her duties, return to her room and spend the evening scrolling through pictures of her friends who were serving in more familiar places.
But one afternoon, everything began to change.
During a CDS meeting, she met another corps member who noticed how quiet she was. A simple conversation turned into friendship, and before long, Zainab had people she could laugh with, share her worries with and count on whenever things got difficult.
Gradually, the state she once dreaded became a place of beautiful memories. She discovered new places, learned to be independent and built friendships she never imagined she would find.
Then came the day she had been waiting for: POP.
While everyone was celebrating, Zainab found herself holding back tears. The same girl who had cried over her posting letter was now crying because she had to leave.

“THE PPA THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING”
When Ibrahim got his NYSC posting, he wasn't happy.
He had been posted to a company he had never heard of, in an area he barely knew. His first thought was:
“I'm just going to complete this service year and leave.”
For the first few weeks, he did exactly that. He reported to work, completed his tasks and counted down the months to POP.
Then one afternoon, his supervisor gave him a task he had never done before.
Instead of saying he couldn't do it, Ibrahim decided to learn.
That one task led to another.
Soon, he was handling responsibilities he never imagined he would get as a corps member. He started learning new skills, building relationships and becoming more confident.
Six months later, something unexpected happened.
His supervisor called him into the office and said:
“We're impressed with your work. We'd like you to stay after NYSC.”
The PPA he couldn't wait to leave had suddenly become an opportunity he didn't want to lose.
Sometimes, the place you didn't choose can still teach you something you didn't know you needed.
Now let's hear from you:
Has your NYSC posting surprised you in any way positively or negatively?
Would you stay at your PPA if they offered you a job after NYSC?
