The local council is building its own wind farm and starting in 2028, it will generate £3.3 million every year, funding things like local schools and transport.

Scotland has the resource, the workers, and certainly the wind to become a renewable superpower, but what we lack is the political will to make it actually benefit us.

We need more than foreign investment. We need public ownership of our renewables!

We can choose a brighter future. By taking a 20% public stake in future offshore wind projects, we can secure the revenue we need to invest back into our NHS, schools, and transport.

12% of offshore wind in Scotland is owned by public energy companies in other European countries. They use the profits to benefit their public services.

Did you know that Scotland once manufactured its own wind turbines Campbeltown?

Scotland has world-class skills, the infrastructure, and some of the best wind resources in Europe. But a toxic mix of multinational greed and neoliberal policy tore our manufacturing sector apart.

Campbeltown wasn’t a failure of Scottish workers or wind technology, it was a failure produced by corporate extraction.
