Did you know that we have a writer & author on our youth ministry team?!
Our students do, & love being interviewed & sparking content for articles!
Check out Cassie’s articles here:
I have my students open class every day with prayer.
Today’s student earnestly prayed, “Dear Jesus, let us not act a fool today in class. Thank you for loving us even though we’re so bad sometimes and never stop talking. Amen.”
I just about died.
Regardless of what your relationship status is this Valentine’s Day, know that you ARE loved - not by human standards, which are fickle and can fade, but by the everlasting God, who will love you NO MATTER WHAT. He knows you, He loves you, and that’ll never change.
We were so blessed this past Sunday to welcome residents from Sabal Palms Children’s Center for our first ever Sensory Friendly Sunday. The worship service was met with such a positive response that we are now looking to make this a regular occurrence. Look for more updates soon!
I am so overwhelmed with joy. This morning, we are hosting 10 residents from Sabal Palms Pediatric Nursing Home in church. It is a massive effort from their staff to mobilize them, but we are so glad to have them. They are such a loved addition to our service.
Check out this special performance from the Our Savior second grade class. They were so excited to share their sign language with all who attended our Sensory-Friendly Service today. Great job, guys!
I am so excited about this. Jesus spent His entire ministry reaching out to the people society had forgotten - or even flat out refused to love. As the church, we should never be part of the problem, but instead offer a place where all are welcome. Hopefully tomorrow starts that.
A few months ago, someone shared a story that hurt me.
Kids I volunteer with, at a special needs center, were turned away by a church for being “too disruptive”.
Tomorrow, we open the doors to every family who hasn’t felt welcome or worried about eye rolls.
Join us!
Such a great day at Our Savior’s Trunk or Treat! Nothing like handing out candy & shots on goal to hundreds of little kids...especially when they all cheer for the Bolts! #HappyHalloween#GoBolts#HockeyParadise#BoltsSocial
For the first time ever, our friends from Sabal Palms are coming to VISIT US! Our middle schoolers already made some festive cards & we’ll be trick-or-treating around campus with them. We can’t wait for Trunk or Treat this Sunday!
Working with people is hard.
Despite pouring yourself out to help others, you’ll still have critics, complainers, & backstabbers.
Some people just delight in making others miserable.
Live out your calling with integrity, compassion, & truth.
Don’t worry about the haters.
