The first cameras were invented in the 1830s-1840s.

The first photographs of major cities — Paris, London, New York, Moscow — show something that NO historian can explain:

THE CITIES ARE EMPTY.

Massive, ornate buildings. Perfect roads. Bridges. Canals. Fountains.

And NOBODY in them.

Not “few people.” NOBODY.
