Yesterday, I met with Mr. Austin Ufomba, the CEO of Ultimum Limited, who led a team to brief me on the completion of the first phase of their beverage manufacturing factory in Osisioma, Aba. The multimillion-dollar investment marks a major milestone in our efforts to grow Abia’s economy through industrial development.

I have directed the Commissioner for Works to immediately begin work on the road leading to the factory along Adaelu Road. Improving access will support production and create wider benefits for the Osisioma industrial cluster.

Ultimum Limited’s decision to start operations before seeking government intervention reflects the seriousness and confidence of their team. I thanked them for believing in Abia and choosing to invest here. Their plan to serve the African market from Osisioma speaks volumes about the scale and ambition of the project.

We also discussed security. Abia remains one of the safest destinations for business in Nigeria. Our team continues to strengthen security coverage across the state, and we remain committed to creating the right environment for businesses to thrive.

I look forward to commissioning the facility when it is ready. Abia is open, ready, and focused on becoming a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive growth.
