Happy Juneteenth! A quick history note worth remembering on this day:It was Republican President Abraham Lincoln who issued the Emancipation Proclamation and pushed the 13th Amendment to end slavery.
The Republican Party was founded in 1854 by anti-slavery activists. Many Black Americans, including Frederick Douglass, supported and joined it early on.
Meanwhile, the KKK was founded by Democrats in 1865 to intimidate Black voters and Republicans in the South.
Celebrating freedom and truth over division.
KAMC, this write-up leans pretty hard one way. Calling Section 702 "warrantless spying powers" over and over is the exact language privacy critics and Democrats use, while barely nodding to how it's been used for years to track actual terrorists and foreign agents. And framing the SAVE Act as just Trump's pet project that "divides Republicans" skips the bigger picture — polls have shown most Americans want proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. It's not some wild idea; it's basic election integrity after years of documented concerns about non-citizen voting.Feels like the piece assumes the national security crowd's view is automatically right and downplays the voting safeguards side. Straight reporting would show both arguments without the loaded wording.
Another baby dead in a Walmart parking lot because two adults allegedly stole diapers, jumped in a car, and fled from cops instead of stopping. Police fire to stop the vehicle—tragic result.
Now Ben Crump rolls in with the usual script, blaming everyone but the people who created the chaos.
This "dindu nuthin" cycle is exhausting. Own your actions. A child paid the ultimate price for it.
