When you dare to be great, you have to reconcile with the possibility that you could fail. My team and I knew the obstacles that stood in our way for this short notice fight. The travel, the weight cut, the list goes on. But at the end of the day we still believed we could get the job done and in the end, we just couldn’t. This one stings a little because I do believe I was the better fighter in that cage, I just didn’t get the opportunity to come prepared to show that this time around. Regardless, excuses are for those who don’t learn from their experiences. I have none. And most people don’t care about them either way.

I don’t know what’s next. That was the last fight on my seven fight contract that I signed after The Ultimate Fighter back in 2023. I don’t want to make any immediate decisions about my future. I just want to hug my wife and kids and take them on a vacation before summer sneaks away.

Big thank you to Antonio and @ChrisGarner87 for making the trip, my wife and everyone back home who helped with the kids, my friends and teammates at RTC who held down the gym while I was gone, and my family for always being in my corner. I’m a blessed man and am grateful for you all. ✌️

The last photo is a group of service members who were deployed in the region. They’ve been going through a lot since this conflict with Iran broke out so it was cool that I was able to link them up with the UFC and get them tickets to the fights to give them a much needed night off.
