For me, remaining “positive” is not about always having a great day or a perfect attitude. (We all have rough days.) But it is about keeping things in perspective. And it is about an abiding certainty that we can choose to make a difference every day, in spite of the adversity.
Insecure kids are often reluctant learners. Teachers should never underestimate the value of encouraging their students… of building up their confidence.
We have placed so much focus on math and reading these last several years we have forgotten the importance of science and social studies. Those two subjects are very much needed right now. #education
