Foundation Stage did a fantastic job of carrying water as part of our #OWNtrustcharityday2024 . We did a grand total of 528 laps of the Wistow Mile track trying hard not to spill water out of our cups.
Minibeast Monday π We thoroughly enjoyed our visit from Mini Monsters. We listened and showed respect to all of our visitors π·οΈπ¦π. Thank you to our parents for your support so this could happen for the children π
We are hoping the children can enjoy the visit from βMini Monstersβ as part of our learning about mini beasts. However, we are still awaiting payment. We need this paying by the end of today (Wednesday) for it to go ahead. Thank you πππ¦πͺ²ππͺ³

This afternoon we learnt how to keep safe when we are near roads, where to cross safely and what to wear to keep safe when on our bikes or scooters. We also discussed how wearing a seatbelt in the car keeps us safe. Ask us what we have learnt!
We have had some parents ask about lost jumpers. Please check the labels in the ones you have, just incase they have come home by mistake. Our lost property box is full. If not claimed before half term they will be recycled π
As part of learning about being healthy, we have enjoyed the story of Supertato. Evil pea has been on the prowl! We have been busy with craft activities and writing messages to leave our veggies alone! π₯¦π₯π«π«π½π₯π@OWPSEnglish #EYFS#learningthroughplay
@welly_wells Thank you, we can always use recycling so yes please! As long as you donβt mind it coming home again after itβs been turned into something π
As the weather gets warmer please ensure your child has sun cream applied in the morning before they come to school. A hat would also be good too, thank you π§’
We enjoyed observing how the caterpillars had changed over the weekend and are looking forward to them going into the butterfly net ready for the next stage of the lifecycle ππ¦π@OWPSScience #EYFS
We are turning our role play into a supermarket next week, and would welcome a variety of boxes and packaging from your recycling to enhance it! Please send in your clean yoghurt pots, cereal boxes, cat food boxes, empty squash bottles, shampoo bottles, toothpaste tubes etcβ¦
We talked about the lifecycle of a butterfly today and spent some time observing our caterpillars. This prompted lots of discussion about where we have seen caterpillars (βin my carβ βon my sockβ) and that some caterpillars βeat my Daddyβs plants.β π #EYFS
Much excitement today when we received a parcel of live caterpillars to look after. Ms Porterβs homework was to make sure they all had food and a little home so the Iguanas and Penguins can observe them more closely tomorrow ππ€π»π¦@OWPSscience #EYFS
