I hate to break it to you, but if you want to be successful and you aren’t from a rich family, you have to sacrifice a lot.
You have to sacrifice your health, your mental health, your personal life, and your reputation.
For every rich family and every trust fund baby you see, there was someone in that family who sacrificed everything to build that wealth.
It takes a psychopathic and sociopathic level of dedication to make it out of this corrupt system.
BREAKING: Kenya Government brings 30M+ academic credentials on chain with Avalanche
Through @KNECKenya, academic records are now verifiable and forgery-resistant, with Avalanche powering the national verification layer.
3/3 Kenyan Web3 startups have attracted 50+ investors from four continents since 2021
The investor landscape is concentrated around Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A, meaning capital is backing founders long before the biggest outcomes become obvious.
Collectively, the finance sector attracted $10M of the $14M raised, signaling payments, lending, and financial infrastructure as viable investments in the blockchain space.
Notable Payment/Finance solutions include:
1. @honeycoinapp - stablecoin-powered payment infrastructure connecting businesses to M-Pesa (@Safaricom), Airtel Money (@AirtelAfrica), @mtnmomoug (@MTNGroup) and other payment rails across Africa.
- The company recently launched stablecoin-backed Visa cards, and uses an AI-powered settlement engine to optimize liquidity and reduce cross-border settlement costs.
2. @kotanipay
Raised $2M across four funding rounds from investors including @tether , @VenturesP1, and @StellarOrg.
- @kotanipay connects blockchain networks directly to local payment systems like M-Pesa (@SafaricomPLC), enabling businesses to move value seamlessly between crypto wallets and mobile money across multiple African markets.
3. @KolanHQ (formerly HuruPay) - combines USD accounts, virtual Visa cards, stablecoin wallets and cross-border payments, allowing users to earn, hold, trade perps, and spend globally without relying on fragmented banking systems.

Up Next (Part 2), We'll break down Kenya's infrastructure landscape, exploring the companies building the rails, tokenization platforms, and foundational technologies of Kenya's blockchain ecosystem.
For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

My time at @Web3Clubs made me realize how fast the tech industry is moving towards automation.
I've therefore decided to venture into agentic AI to integrate these systems into my workflow and projects.
I am currently writing state graphs and decision logic using LangGraph.
On Thursday I participated at an @Africastalking InsureTech Hackathon together with @Ox125ll5. We built #BimaSentinel, an AI-powered multi-agent that processes insurance claims and detects and flags frauds.
This was my first agent that i fully built using #Langgraph

50% into the @CyfrinUpdraft smart contract security course and it has been a roller coster of new info. I've learned just as much from reading security blogs and post-mortems as I have from the lessons themselves.
The journey continues with the goal being @immunefi's leaderboard.
Not every contract that looks like a Uniswap V2 pool is one.
Uniswap V2 launched in 2020. Six years later it remains one of the most forked and imitated codebases in DeFi. Some of those imitations ship custom logic underneath a standard-looking interface.
The ABI matches. Function signatures are identical. Standard tooling treats it as vanilla Uniswap.
The custom code can modify swap behavior, manipulate price calculations, or introduce logic that downstream integrations inherit without knowing.
Below is a Glider query to surface every UniswapV2Pair contract on mainnet containing custom code:
