They got permission to march to commemorate the anniversary of the 1993 shelling of the White House, and while the march started out with the ritual denunciations of the Anglo-Saxons, it soon went well beyond that, with demands for freedom, free and fair elections, end of censorship, and against United Russia, the party that supports Putin even as he likes to pretend he floats above the party fray, as the party of corruption. Then came the “Down with the Tsar!” chants.

Reports say about 60 people were arrested.

The fridge is starting to overwhelm the TV in Russia. The fact that more than a thousand people did this in Moscow despite knowing what the regime is like suggests there are a whole lot more who share their views.

This is Putin’s nightmare — not a Ukrainian drone or missile slamming into his cortège (although now he’s got a helicopter to protect it in addition to the EW car and there one with anti-aircraft gun that were already in his motorcade), but something more like what happened to Qaddafi.

Here’s hoping that this is just the beginning in Russia.

😺 Six cats have been evacuated from Russian-occupied Oleshky by drone.

Soldiers from the Perun unit had delivered special pet carriers to the area in advance, then used heavy-lift drones to bring the animals across the Dnipro River.

The cats are now safe and receiving veterinary care. ❤️

Military personnel from Ukraine’s 11th National Guard Brigade and 34th Regiment also delivered nearly four tons of humanitarian aid to occupied Oleshky using drones.

The delivery included around 400 packages of food, medicine, and essential items for children.

#Oleshky is what russian occupation looks like when the world stops watching.

First, the city was occupied, and the russian forces abducted 84 children and adults with disabilities.

Then, it was drowned by the russian destruction of the Kakhovka Dam. Hundreds are believed to have died as russian occupation forces failed to evacuate people, obstructed rescuers, and later concealed the true death toll.

Now, the survivors are trapped in the devastated city without basic services, adequate food, water or medical care. Evacuation is nearly impossible. The town is facing a prolonged humanitarian catastrophe.

This is so hypocritical to say 'give russia Donbas and they will stop fighting.' They won't.

There is a systematic destruction of all things Ukraine under russian occupation. You just hear little to nothing of it.

#Oleshky is what genocide looks like when it happens behind the occupation line, largely unseen by the world.
