We're now into the second week of Oxford interviews. Well done to all who have interviewed and best of luck to those of you with interviews coming up! You can still find interview demos, tips and guidance on our website and social media channels.
#ApplyingToOxford#Interviews
Wishing the best of luck to everyone interviewing for a place at Oxford over the next two weeks!
Applicants can watch demonstration interviews and read sample questions for their subject to help them prepare.
#ApplyingToOxford#edutwitter
Our interviews aren’t meant to feel like an interrogation - they’re more like a chat with people who are also passionate about your subject. This is very similar to how tutorials at Oxford work, and a great way to see if you enjoy that style of learning!
#ApplyingToOxford
We know that interviews can seem intimidating - particularly if you've not done anything like this before – but our tutors just want to chat to you about a subject you're both passionate about, and see how you think.

#ApplyingToOxford
A great way to prepare for your Oxford interview is to practise speaking about your subject and explaining your thoughts aloud. This doesn't need to be in a formal 'mock interview' - chats with teachers, friends and family can all help! https://t.co/enJaeGcv5E
#ApplyingToOxford
Many interview questions are designed to test your ability to apply logic and reason to an idea you may never have encountered before. If you think you don’t know the answer to a question, don’t panic; try to apply your mind to it – you may surprise yourself!
#ApplyingToOxford
Our admissions tutors will be interested to hear students’ thought processes during interviews. Thinking out loud as you work through solving problems will help to demonstrate how you think and approach challenges. For more tips, visit https://t.co/enJaeGcv5E.

If any of your students are interviewing for a place at Oxford this year, they will need to decide whether it should take place at school or home. Interview preparation resources for shortlisted applicants are available at https://t.co/enJaeGcv5E.

The Oxford interview is designed to be a lot like our tutorial system. It helps our admissions tutors assess how well you respond to this style of learning and gives you an experience of what it’s like to study here.
