After basking in the win, here’s some devil advocate takes today:

In game states at home where the onus is on us to dictate/create or disrupt blocks… Cunha LW doesn’t work if Shaw is the LB. No width provider, as he drifts and roams. Forces Shaw to be that when he doesn’t have the legs for it, also leaves him exposed on transition when Cunha wonders. Cunha’s fullback is often an out ball defensively when he plays wide.

Mbeumo CF also doesn’t work in games like today, limited box threat and when our build up struggles he’s too small a focal point to play over the press. Would have maybe swapped him and Cunha.

Dorgu might genuinely be a “system breaker” in this version of Carricks system - in and out of possession. He seems vital to the composition of it.

Press and rest defence was spooky quite often also. Quite passive… as good as Fulham are.

Still work to do.
