Commissioner Morris reminds everyone in attendance of the transparency portal on the county’s website that tracks all money coming in and out of the county.

Green Bridge will be opening next week with a ribbon cutting on December 20.

Hawkins and Red Bridges will be open in 2026.

County campus is being built. The project is being paid for as it is built (no loans).

Mayor Currence…

Capital Improvement Program is underway. These proposed short and longterm projects will be looked at as funds become available, helping Ozark grow with a clear plan to follow.

Master Parks Plan will be completed in 2026 focusing on the future of Ozark Parks and Recreation.

The Ozark Community Center saw several upgrades including HVAC replacements building wide and new carpet in fitness center and community rooms.

- Ozark Marketplace Development
- Marabella Development

Chadwick Flyer Trail and Bridge is a huge success for the city, offering multi-modal access for residents and visitors.

2025 Police Department Milestones:
- Board of Aldermen approval for new public safety facility
- Becoming a Blue Shield Program
- E-bike upgrades and body cameras deployed department wide

Chief Metheny: New fire station site will first include a burn building and training annex to provide space for additional training. New fire station is on hold after voters voted not to pass 2025 fire tax.

Aerial Truck purchase
Station 3 remodel
Engine 13 purchase
Brush/Rescue Truck purchase

Dr. Wilson closes her time discussing capital improvements including Tiger Paw inclusive playground, theater sound system upgrade, baseball field improvements, and more.

Dr. Wilson discusses points of pride including the OJH Roar program and being home to this years Miss Teen USA.

Ozark Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Lori Wilson is next up to the mic reaffirming the school districts “Excellence Drives Us, Tradition Unites Us” moto. The district has roughly 6,000 students and just over 1,000 employees.

First up is Ozark Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Chris Russell announcing their 2026 theme, “Let’s Grow 2026”. Looking to grow membership, sponsorship, leadership team, ambassador team, economic relationships, ribbon cuttings, events, and expanding the “Shop Ozark” campaign.

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Christian County from noon Sunday to 6 am Monday. Ozark can expect mixed precipitation and winds gusting as high as 40 mph. A flash freeze is possible. Plan on slippery road conditions. Be Safe #OzarkMO

2025 budget is 4.4 million dollars.

The final speaker of the night is Ozark Fire Protection District Fire Chief Jarrett Matheney.

The fire district covers 110 square miles and around 40,000 citizens.

Three fire stations. Firefighters work 48 hours then are off for 96 hours.

ARPA money: 14.3 million dollars. This money is allowing for three bridge replacements and additional stormwater projects.
