What a super day learning new games in PE, writing stories about Spring, creating Spring pictures, learning some more signs and symbols from other religions and working hard on our numeracy skills.
Spelling practice and reading tasks, doubling and halving work, music with Mrs Strang and then HwB, exploring emotions and ways we can cope with big feelings - a busy day in Primary 2!
Fantastic show and tell this week! We loved hearing about day trips, special toys and experiences, incredible dinosaur facts and even the planetary parade!๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ Superstars!
We love our TREE reading time, reading on our own or with friends, either in print or accessing favourite stories to read along with on our iPads. We are becoming such confident readers!๐
We explored the Scratch Jr app this week, finding out about all the different features we can use to design characters, backgrounds and using block coding to animate them. Super work everyone!
Huge thanks to @LinseyFletcher for coming to share her lovely story โBobโs Magic Bootsโ with us this week. We loved hearing about his adventures, designing our own magic boots and weโve been busy reading our class copy too! What a lovely morning!๐คฉ๐#antoliteracy
What a wonderful afternoon with our friends and family as we shared our learning in engineering and technology. P2 demonstrated sewing techniques, knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, iPad skills AND skills in construction. Leading the learning in its truest form!
A busy classroom this afternoon as our Young Stem Leaders taught P2 some new skills in technology and engineering. We hope you can join us tomorrow and come enjoy these fantastic experiences for yourself! @MrsAitkenAnto
We had such fun celebrating world book day with our extra friends!๐ Well done to all who made a puppet friend to bring to school and especially to these three who were voted by the class as our P2 winners! #antobookweek
Can you guess today's book theme? ( Hint... his name is Norman and he has a funny shell...)
We also worked so hard on our writing, becoming more independent. We practised the 2 x table AND enjoyed outdoor PE and lots of pancake fun! #antobookweek@missrossantops
Today marked the start of Book Week! We enjoyed lots of stories (including fables), made Book Buddies and explored 'Ravi's Roar' by Tom Percival. This story helps us understand and express big emotions like anger in a healthy way @antonine01@missrossantops
We started the day by practising spelling words, then the 2 x table. This afternoon we enjoyed music and finished the day with some HwB. Of course there were lots of opportunities to learn through play - our hospital was very popular following on from last week's Show and Tell!
Our two Beavers looking very smart in their uniforms celebrating World Thinking Day. They told us about this special day and then offered us a demonstration of the CPR skills theyโve learned whilst at Beavers. Such incredible, responsible learners both in and out of school.๐คฉ
Poetry recitals, fantastic singing and instrumentals AND a whole school Cรจilidh...@antonine01 has the best celebrations. What a fantastic way to round of our culture and heritage topic!
