@P2P2rs through its focal points in the CRR-North embarks on site monitoring of farmlands supported by the project. These included the Mbaye Wollof rice field, Ngunta village, Jarumeh Koto village, Sit Maram village & Manna located in the Niani & Sami Districts.

@P2P2rs in collaboration with the Dep't of Forestry has nursed 20,000 assorted seedlings in preparation for a mass tree-planting exercise under the project’s afforestation program.
The nursery includes Khaya Senegalensis, Cordyla Africana, Khaya Ivorensis & Carposilicifolius.

P2-P2RS has commenced its 2026 agricultural input support, providing beneficiary farmers with ploughing services, certified seeds, fertilizer, & agro-chemicals to strengthen resilience & boost crop production.

P2-P2RS has commenced the distribution of fertilizer (NPK 15:15:15) to beneficiary farmers across all project intervention regions. This support aims to improve agricultural productivity, increase farmers' yields, and enhance household incomes.

🌱Strengthening food security in The Gambia through large-scale investment
As part of TAAT's #TechnicalAssistance to the P2-P2RS project, the Rice, Vegetable & Maize Compacts are rolling out 2026 ToT workshops to train 120 agents, reaching 1,000 frontline extension workers with #GAPs.

🌽 The recent maize training at Jenoi targeted 40 agents, boosting field capacity & cascading best practices. To anchor this, the @IITA_CGIAR Maize Program is providing fresh, highly productive nucleus seeds to upgrade the national seed system.

@P2P2rs has handed over post-harvest farm machines to the Dep't of Agric for beneficiary farmers.
These includes 1⃣ 2⃣ 5⃣ agricultural machines such as 2⃣ 5⃣ Rice Milling Machine ,2⃣5⃣ Rice Milling Machine, 2⃣5⃣ Maize Sheller Dehuller, 2⃣5⃣ Coarse Grain Milling & 2⃣5⃣Findi.

Aba Sorra, a seasoned Findi farmer in Kantong Kunda, Kiang West, has expressed gratitude to P2-P2RS for the provision of certified Findi seeds & fertilizer.

The support has not only boosted his productivity but enabled him to sell the excess.
