Mensagens encontradas pela Polícia Federal no celular de Daniel Vorcaro, ex-dono do Banco Master, mostram que o advogado Walfrido Warde afirmava que o banqueiro contava com o apoio do presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva e de integrantes do PT para tentar salvar a instituição financeira. Em um áudio enviado em março de 2025, após o anúncio da compra de 58% do capital do Master pelo Banco de Brasília (BRB), Warde diz que a Globo tentava enfraquecer o apoio político de Vorcaro dentro do partido. A operação dependia da aprovação do Banco Central.

Os diálogos revelam uma articulação que envolvia contatos com integrantes do governo e tentativas de aproximar Vorcaro de Lula. Segundo a reportagem, o presidente é citado em pelo menos 20 mensagens encaminhadas pelo advogado ao banqueiro entre abril de 2023 e julho de 2025.

Em meio às tentativas de viabilizar a operação, Vorcaro também orientou que uma eventual manifestação de apoio de Lula fosse tratada por intermédio de Edinho Silva, presidente do PT, para evitar expor o presidente. O Banco Central acabou liquidando o Master em novembro de 2025.

Dear @SecRubio,

I am writing to respectfully request that your office, or the appropriate federal authorities, examine the immigration or residence status of Brazilian national Wagner Moura, who has resided in the United States (Los Angeles) for several years.
In recent public statements and a widely circulated video released on or around October 16, 2026, as part of the series Revelando: Pátria Submissa, Mr. Moura has made serious allegations concerning the United States. Among other claims, he has described what he characterizes as a deliberate American strategy of economic and political pressure designed to obtain control over Brazil’s rare-earth mineral reserves, asserting that the United States “does not want to buy minerals from others, it wants them to be its own,” and that this process involves local leaders ceding control so that resources leave the country under American direction. He has further referred to Brazilian political figures as “traitors to the homeland” who are “delivering the country on a silver platter to the Americans.”
In earlier public interviews (including statements reported by BBC News Brasil and other outlets), Mr. Moura has also declared that the United States “has ceased to be a democracy,” described actions of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as “fascist” and “racist,” and accused the agency of conducting racial profiling and violence.
These statements are a matter of public record and have received extensive coverage in Brazilian and international media. While political speech is protected, the consistency and severity of these characterizations made by an individual who has long benefited from residence and professional opportunities in the United States raise legitimate questions about his suitability for continued immigration or residence privileges.
I therefore respectfully request that the relevant authorities review his current status and any applicable grounds for reassessment under U.S. immigration law.
