Power to the People.
One Auditor General / PBO fact a day on Canadian government waste.
Peaceful march: Fri 5 Nov 2027.
Follow for the receipts. Start here.
PBO: since Budget 2025, new measures cost $173.3B through 2029-30. Of that, $126.8B was day-to-day operating spending and only $46.6B was capital. Economic room was just $18.5B. The watchdog also says Ottawa's operating-vs-capital labels can look contradictory. If the books depend on the label, who is keeping score? #cdnpoli Follow for one AG fact a day. Peaceful Nov 5 2027.
PBO says Ottawa's operating-vs-capital spending labels can look contradictory, and new measures since Budget 2025 cost $173.3B. Should every federal spending measure be published with a clear operating or capital tag? #cdnpoli

@MichaelCooperMP Fuel taxes are visible at the pump. Dayforce is not. Auditor General 2026: preliminary Dayforce cost exceeds $4.2B. Phoenix still had a backlog of over 233,000 pay transactions affecting more than 133,000 public servants as of Sept 30 2025.
@nationalpost Opaque Crown corporations are the pattern, not the exception. McKinsey federal spending was about $209M, and about 70% of it was non-competitive. Auditor General. If the public cannot see the competition, it cannot see the waste.
@CTVNews High income tax gets the headline. CRA Contact Centres, Auditor General Oct 2025: a telephony deal with a $50M minimum grew to $190M. Callers reached an agent within 15 minutes only 18% of the time. Individual tax answers were accurate 17%. https://t.co/mOhaXtlaxf

@PierrePoilievre While Hamilton steelworkers lose jobs, GCStrategies was paid about $64.5M across 106 contracts and 31 organizations. Auditor General, June 2025: nearly half of the contracts checked had little or no proof the work was delivered.
@PierrePoilievre PBO: professional and special services hit a record $21.6B in proposed authorities for 2023-24. The promised freeze covered only $350M of that. Pump prices are one bill. Consultant authorities are another. #cdnpoli
Mark Carney wants to do away with Elon Musk's Starlink and use Canada's Telesat Lightspeed, which is years away.
Telesat has been getting government contracts and $ for years:
* 2019: $85M, grant (non-repayable)
* 2020: $600M, capacity deal.
* 2021: $1.44B, loan + equity (later replaced by the 2024 loan. What happened to our equity?
* 2024: $2.14B, loan (repayable with interest, plus warrants for 10% of Telesat LEO)
2025: $2.92M, defence engineering contract
2026: $2.3B, up to $2.7B with options, military services contract
Provincial
2021: Quebec $400M, loan
2021: Ontario $109M, commitment
So around $5.6B in support just in the last few years.
‼️Cant EVEN make this up -- Mark Carney recently awarded his children's preschool soccer league friend, Dan Goldberg from Telesat, a $2.7 Billion deal for Arctic Satellite "sovereignty"
this was to move away from Elon Musk's starlink....Guess how they're getting into space? SPACE X! 😂
They need 14 or 15 Falcon 9 flights at a cost of US$1.0–1.2 billion, which goes right into Elon's business.
$64.5 million paid to GCStrategies.
Auditor General (June 2025): 31 federal organizations awarded that firm 106 contracts worth up to $92.7M. In nearly half the contracts reviewed, there was little or no evidence the work was even done.
Public money needs receipts. Peaceful civic pressure toward Fri 5 Nov 2027. #CDNPoli

$949M spent of $2.4B available for rural/remote connectivity by 2022-23. Approvals took too long. On First Nations reserves only 42.9% of households had 50/10 access in 2021 (vs 90.9% nationally). Auditor General March 2023 Report 2. Follow for one AG fact a day. Peaceful Nov 5 2027. #CDNPoli

Whoever sends the invoice, CRA is already failing the basics at home. The Auditor General found a telephony deal that started at a $50 million minimum and grew to $190 million. Only 18 percent of callers reached an agent within 15 minutes, and answers on individual tax questions were accurate just 17 percent of the time. https://t.co/MOGUcRo7Zn

@Cynn0r@gator_gum The Auditor General's February 2024 estimate was about $59.5 million for ArriveCAN, and the precise cost could not be determined because CBSA records were too poor. That missing paper trail is the finding, not a rounding error. https://t.co/bbu1BCOrB8
Auditor General (2024): ArriveCAN’s exact cost couldn’t be determined due to poor records—estimated ~$59.5M. Value for money not shown.

@ryangerritsen Same names are not a reset if the contracting habits stay. The Auditor General's report on McKinsey put federal spending at about $209 million, and about 70 percent of that was non-competitive.
A pump-tax cut is real money for truckers. It does not touch the consulting file. The Auditor General reported in June 2025 that GCStrategies held 106 contracts across 31 federal organizations, about $64.5 million was paid, and nearly half of the files checked had little or no proof the work was delivered.
@PierrePoilievre Diesel taxes are one line on the bill. The Parliamentary Budget Officer put proposed authorities for professional and special services at a record $21.6 billion for 2023-24. The promised freeze was only $350 million of that.
🚨🚨Scathing report from the AG finds that most contracts given to #GCStrategies (the infamous company behind #ArriveSCAM) did not follow basic procurement policies.
Once again this government is showing it pays to be a Liberal insider. 💸💸
