P6 visited us to show us what they had learned about electrical circuits! They showed us how to make a circuit and light up a bulb. Then we were able to add different materials into the circuit to test if they would conduct electricity! We had so much fun! ⚡️@MrsTraynor_HoM
We have been learning about persuasive language this term. We learned about bossy verbs and set to work making our own chocolate bars! We used bossy verbs to tell people to choose our chocolate bar. Stay tuned for our fantastic writing about our chocolate bars 👀
After our community walk we have been discussing the buildings that we seen on our walk. We worked in groups to create different kinds of houses, shops and community areas!🏠🏘️
We visited the book fair this morning! We got to have a look at the books on offer and we also got to choose a free book to take home! 📚We came back to class and spent some time reading our books and sharing them with our friends!👯♀️
A little reminder (not that the children will have let you forget!) that it is our colour run tomorrow afternoon! Remember to wear your old clothes and bring a pair of glasses/goggles! 😎
As part of our IDL context we made our own Scotland flags and explored our local area using Google Earth! We found some local shops, parks and some of us found our own houses! We learned how to use street view and how to explore Google Earth using the arrows and zooming in + out!
We have been learning about the four main points on a compass! 🧭 We learned a silly way to remember the points (Never Eat Smelly Wellies), made our own compass and gave directions to a friend!
On Wednesday the weather was kind to us and we were able to go on a walk around our local community to find some its ’features’! 🏠🏫🏘️ A big thank you to the adults who came to help 🥰 @P3GHOMPS
