The Good Friday Agreement gave amnesty to countless IRA terrorists in countless ways.
The Secretary of State Hilary Benn attempted to claim the opposite, so I laid out for the House exactly how these amnesties worked.
He had no answer, so sidestepped the question.
Starmer says that immunity from prosecution for our brave veterans must be removed so they can be pursued by lawyers for actions taken 50 years ago yet the evil terrorists they were protecting us from will keep their immunity! This is beyond sick and unjust !
Chris Packham thinks Turner's focus on detail in some of his drawings shows neurodiversity. But how would he explain the extreme lack of detail in many of the later paintings? https://t.co/DLx7YJ5IQ9
@NeilForPoole The top 1% of UK income taxpayers already pay around 28-29% of all income tax, and the top 10% contribute over 60%. How much do you think they should pay?
@LibDems You missed out the key word here - unbiased. The news bias is very clear and has been obvious for a long time. Ed Davey fails to tackle any of the proven arguments in this debate and resorts to a "we must rally round our BBC" argument that doesn't work any more.
@worcsboschcare Just been told that you can't provide an engineer to fix my boiler for a week, although it's under warranty and I have no hot water or heating. Pretty disappointing.
I do fear for the BBC. Terrible story about the Taliban banning women from medical training in Afghanistan is headlined 'My wife died giving birth after Trump cut funding to our clinic' as if that was the real problem https://t.co/jDVMjc5N5P
I have always enjoyed John Harris's pieces because he actually talks to people outside London. But the funny thing about this piece is that the Glastonbury crowd probably also think they are the majority, when they seem to be very much white, left-wing, middle-class NW London.
Today, Parliament debated the disgraceful pursuit of Northern Ireland veterans through our courts.
Make no mistake, the IRA and their supporters are trying to rewrite history to hide their barbaric acts behind a freedom-fighting facade.
We cannot let that happen.
A pay rise of 28.9%.
The highest pay rise in the entire public sector this year.
A genuine commitment to work together on things like rotations, placements, progression.
These are NOT the conditions for strike action.
I urge the BMA to work with me.
Those who courageously served the UK in The Troubles were the guarantors of our security, our freedom, and our justice.
We owe them no less than respect and gratitude in return.
I am pleased @DailyMail have rightly picked up this cause.
@bbcsport In Glenn Speller's write-up of yesterday's Vitality Blast he says that #Surrey have never won the T20. It has been a long time, but they won in 2003, the inaugural year. https://t.co/AyCVAhXxOt
