JUST A SMALL CLIPPING OF GALAXY
Each dot like that... no, they are not pixels. They are billions and billions of stars. Each star has its planetary system with several planets and moons. It is fascinating!
@EKEDP@EKEDP is it appropriate to disconnect a building without prior notice? No bypass, no debt. We let you in to inspect twice a month. When there was outstanding it was tagged on each meter until full payment was made. This is sad and abuse of power.
BREAKING NEWS: The Lagos State Government has strongly criticised landlords and property agents who are exploiting Lagos residents by imposing unjustifiable increases in house rents.
Quitting Nigeria Does Not Absolve Meta of Liability
WhatsApp's claim that it may be forced to exit Nigeria due to FCCPC's recent order appears to be a calculated move aimed at inducing negative public reaction and potentially pressuring the FCCPC to reconsider its decision.
The FCCPC investigated Meta Platforms and WhatsApp (jointly referred to as "Meta Parties") for allegedly violating the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
The Commission found that Meta Parties engaged in multiple and repeated infringements of the FCCPA (2018) and the NDPR. These infringements included denying Nigerians the right to control their personal data, transferring and sharing Nigerian user data without authorisation, discriminating against Nigerian users compared to users in other jurisdictions and abusing their dominant market position by forcing unfair privacy policies.
Interestingly, Meta had been fined for similar breaches in Texas ($1.5b) and only recently was asked to pay $1.3 Billion for violating E.U. Data Privacy Rules. Elsewhere in India, South Korea, France and Australia, Meta had faced varying penalties for similar breaches. But Meta never resorted to the blackmail of threatening to exit those countries. They obeyed.
The recent affirmation of FCCPC's final order by the Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal requires Meta Parties to take steps to comply with Nigerian law, stop exploiting Nigerian consumers, change their practices to meet Nigerian standards and respect consumer rights, consistent with international best practices.
Threatening to leave Nigeria does not absolve Meta of liabilities for the outcome of a judicial process.
For the avoidance of doubt, the FCCPC remains committed in its pursuit of consumer protection and data privacy towards ensuring a fairer digital market in Nigeria.

Twice a month mix 3 milliliters in a glass of Orange juice and down it. REMEMBER WHEN the Media laughed and said ivermectin was ONLY for horses and cows? THEY KNEW it was made for people since 1987.
Heres what they didn’t tell you 👇
1 – It prevents the damage caused by drugs created using mRNA technology, blocks the entry of Spike Protein into cells and, if the person was vaccinated, they can treat themselves for damage already done through Ivermectin.
2 – It only has beneficial effects and no harmful effects in the treatment of the C virus. In fact, even before entering the cell, it has already destroyed the virus in the blood.
3 – It has a very powerful anti-inflammatory action against and has a powerful impact on traumatic and orthopedic injuries, it strengthens muscles and has no side effects like corticosteroids.
4 –It treats autoimmune ailments such as: rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia, psoriasis, Crohn's disease, allergic rhinitis.
5 – It improves the immunity levels in cancer patients and treats Herpes Simplex and Herpes Zoster, plus reduces the frequency of sinusitis and diverticulitis.
6 – It protects the heart in cardiac overload. In an embolism for example, it prevents cardiac hypoxia because it stimulates the production of basic energy so that the tissue is not destroyed and thus improves cardiac function.
7 – It is anti-parasitic, anti-neoplastic (anti-cancer). Allegedly, it suppresses the proliferation and metastasis of cancer cells, preserving healthy cells and improving the effectiveness of chemotherapy treatment.
8 - It can kills cancer cells resistant to chemotherapy, defeating the resistance to multiple chemo-therapeutics that tumors develop, and combined with chemotherapy and/or anti-cancer agents, it provides an increase in the effectiveness of these treatments.
9 – It is antimicrobial (bacteria and viruses) and increases immunity.
10 – It reaches the Central Nervous System and regenerates the nerves.
11 – It helps to regulates glucose, insulin metabolism, cholesterol levels and reduces liver fat in steatose.
12 - It can be used as a prophylactic agent and has been associated with a significant reduction in infection, hospitalization and mortality rates due to C-19.
Factually Addressing Mr. Peter Obi's Criticism of Nigeria at Johns Hopkins University
On Thursday, April 24, 2025, former Governor Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate for the 2023 election, was at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he made several disparaging comments about Nigeria.
He made the unflattering remarks not just about the incumbent Nigerian government, but also about Nigeria.
I also find Mr. Obi's pattern of behaviour disturbing. When prominent Nigerians go overseas, they ought to project Nigeria positively. They do not have to do that for the government. But we all owe a duty to market Nigeria on the global stage rather than de-market her. That is what true patriotism is about.
Because Mr. Obi focused on poverty and said that the current administration's policies are making Nigerians poorer, I will concentrate on that.
Any leader can fight poverty generationally by promoting education, improving healthcare, providing credit, and granting access to land.
Now, I find it somewhat ironic that a man like Mr. Obi, who did not build a single school or a stand alone hospital throughout his eight-year tenure as Governor of Anambra or sustainably provide credit facilities, would criticise the Government of Nigeria, which is actively doing that.
I say this because the President of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is my predecessor, and as Governor of Lagos and now President of Nigeria, has built over 200 schools and provided student loans to more than 200,000 undergraduates of Nigerian tertiary institutions.
In less than two years, he has provided over half a billion dollars in credit facilities to small and medium-scale enterprises.
While he was Governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007, the President reduced poverty by more than 46%. There is every reason to believe that, based on what he did as Governor of Lagos, he will repeat the same feat at the federal level. After all, the best predictor of the future is the past.
But let us examine the messenger, not just the message, and look at the issuer as well as the issues.
Mr. Obi talks a good game. But was he able to reduce poverty while he governed Anambra? Perhaps we can let the facts speak for themselves.
Under Peter Obi as a two term Anambra Governor, poverty in Anambra increased. It did not reduce. Before Peter Obi became Anambra Governor on Thursday, June 14, 2007, the poverty rate in Anambra was 41.4%.
But after only two years in office, the poverty rate in Anambra jumped to 53.7%.
But the interesting thing is that five years after Peter Obi left office, his successor, Willie Obiano, reduced the poverty rate in Anambra from almost 60% to 14.8%.
As such, I am not sure that Mr. Obi is morally well placed to make the alarming claims he made about Nigeria at Johns Hopkins.
Mr. Obi contributed to the increase in poverty in Nigeria. Governor Tinubu, as he then was, was responsible for lifting millions out of poverty.
Being that that is the case, who should criticise who?
Everyone I talk to seems to be worried about Neuralink ....like some future chip is going to flip the switch and turn us into hive-minded drones. But I tell them this ... the hive mind is already here, and you opted in voluntarily. No surgery, no implants...just your phone, your feed, and your fear of being left behind. Sound familiar? You don't need a neural interface when you're already checking a black mirror 96 times a day for emotional validation and identity cues. You didn’t need to be plugged in. You are the plug. The node.
It didn’t come with any force at all. It came as convenience and progress. You stopped asking questions when the algorithm started handing you answers tailored to your echo chamber. You stopped forming opinions the moment you started liking, sharing, and reposting what the swarm rewarded. And when you had an opinion .. you stopped .. because the swarm would not approve. Somewhere along the way, your thoughts became patterns, your outrage became trendy, and your memory...your sense of continuity....got replaced by scrollable nostalgia loops. Silence is painful. You don't think for yourself. You react for the collective. Sound crazy and sci fi dark? We're living it.
Imagine a flock of birds. They move as one, turn as one, rise as one. There’s no central leader...just subtle, invisible signals traveling faster than thought. That’s what we’ve become. But birds/ants or any hive member don’t think they’re individuals. We do. Is that now an illusion of autonomy? I think that’s the last barrier... and it’s already paper-thin. You’re not deciding. You're just calculating how far you can drift from the group without being pecked to death. So you stay in formation. And you call it freedom...hmmm...how familiar are you now?
What we call "connection" is just compliance wrapped in dopamine. What we call "information" is just curated input shaped to keep the hive intact. And when you do step out of line...say something unpopular, think something off-beat...the collective doesn’t ask why. It swarms. It punishes. It silences. The same system that feeds you, feeds on you. And you know it. That’s the worst part. Deep down, under the noise, you/we can feel it...the quiet panic of knowing you’re not really steering anymore. Do you feel it ... because I do. I come from the old world .. much has changed and change is what always happens.
You don’t need Neuralink. The hive mind is here. It hums in your pocket. It breathes through your screen. And it doesn’t need to control you...it just needs you to keep scrolling, keep posting, keep syncing. Because once you believe the thoughts in your head are truly your own, and they’re not...the hive doesn’t just win.
It becomes you...and you become the hive.
