The vision for the National Plan of Action for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence( 2018-2030) is, “A Uganda in which all people are free from all forms of violence and discrimination for a healthy and productive life.

Intimate partner violence remains prevalent with an estimated 44% of married women reporting violence.
This is a reminder of the scale of gender inequality and discrimination against women.
