It's a shame we won't see Kalvin Phillips play for the next few months.
Under Marcelo Bielsa, he was a joy to watch. How good was he in that promotion winning season 👌
@Jxcksonn_x But as soon as you get rid of the human eye, everything about the game changes. You’ll get AI officials, then you’ll get more AI elements. You’ll lose the very game we love. The whole reason we love the game is because of the ability for human error. That’s Football.
@Jxcksonn_x Massively unlikely is a naive statement. If a player is offside and it’s clear, call it offside. We have linesman for a reason. If they have to let everything go, get rid of them completely. If that happens, we lose the game completely.
@Jxcksonn_x But 80% of the time, players are miles off and the play is carried on and the risk of injury is severe. I feel they are ruining the credibility of these linesman. They are skilled at their job. They might as well not have them there
@Jxcksonn_x I agree with that also, I do feel as if even in that case as well as linesmen waiting for play to continue when a player is miles off. Killing the game imo
@Jxcksonn_x Which I agree with, but there’s only so much VAR can’t overturn and rule. Until they are given more power in overturning decisions, this will happen week in, week out.
@Jxcksonn_x But they are dammed if they do, dammed if they don’t. If we are going to slate the times they don’t get it wrong (which is often I do understand), let’s not slate the times they do get it right too.
@Jxcksonn_x Definitely hits his arm before the sleeve. If he moves towards the ball and the ball hits his arm, it’s a pen. Harsh as it is, that is the rule.
@Jxcksonn_x Quality of refereeing is really poor, but it is a pen however harsh it may be. He can’t do much more but he sorta leans towards the ball as well as denying an effort at goal. That’s the way I feel they’ve seen it.
