@ZitoSalena The PA Chamber submitted public comments to the proposal in June, warning that its scope, cost, and impact on PA employers (particularly small businesses) would position Allegheny Co. as the most extreme and business-hostile jurisdiction in the country.

99% of Allegheny County businesses are considered small businesses. A full 99%.

Even reducing a paid leave mandate from 18 weeks to 12 weeks only shortens the timeline it does not eliminate the structural and operational threat for a small business.

12 weeks is an operational eternity that severely disrupts things like cash flow, service delivery, and team morale it also can cost a small business when you factor in the absent worker's pay and the cost of coverage.

A lot of small businesses operate on very slim margins & this can wipe out an entire quarter’s profit.

How do I know that? I asked them.
How any county council member or @Innamo thinks this is good leadership or governing is laughable.
