@oldmudgie In UK villages etc, the pub was/is not far from the church. Ie, start at the Church & work outwards to find old/new pubs. @PackhorseBath used 2 have a tunnel running under the garden to St Andrew's Church. A fake spiral staircase in the pub was probs also a Priest hole.
