The regulations have given these non-medical facilities waivers to handle residents with medical conditions. So, why isn’t COVID testing available to them? This is a public health priority. It shouldn’t exclude RCFE residents and caregivers. @CAgovernor

The AARP Foundation is helping local, low- and moderate-income seniors with free tax assistance and preparation. Here’s a service of which our seniors should definitely take advantage.

Everyday, as I work on my thesis and work with seniors, I’m so much more motivated to help seniors beyond my city.

If I‘m ever so lucky to be appointed a California Commissioner on Aging, I’d feel satisfied for the rest of my life.

Until then, I still have to prove myself.

Christmas started early this month with the seniors and staff at Norman Park Senior Center. Snowman decorations and holiday songs by the preschoolers brought joy and the Christmas spirit.

A solution to provide services to seniors: collaboration. We, The City of Chula Vista’s Commission on Aging, are partnering w/ @CirculateSD to help develop the CV Safe Routes for Seniors Plan, funded by a Kaiser Permanente grant.
