عراق؛ فساد میلیاردی یا شبکه‌ای فراتر از مرزها؟
میلیون‌ها دلار در خانه مقامات عراق؛ این پول‌ها از کجا آمده است؟

نشریه ایتالیایی پانوراما در گزارشی به تاریخ ۱ ژوئیه (۱۰ تیر) در باره توهم بازگشت بچه شاه به ایران نوشت: کنار رفتن سریع رضا پهلوی، فرزند آخرین شاه ایران، از مرکز توجه‌، نشان می‌دهد که تبدیل کردن یک نماد رسانه‌ای به یک رهبر سیاسی تا چه اندازه خطرناک است؛ اقدامی که امیدهای غرب را با واقعیت ایران درهم می‌آمیزد.
ماه‌ها بود که رضا پهلوی به‌عنوان چهرهٔ آیندهٔ ایران معرفی می‌شد. مصاحبه‌ها، کنفرانس‌ها، دیدارهای رسمی و حضور مداوم او در رسانه‌ها باعث شده بود که در نگاه بسیاری از ناظران غربی، او به فردی تبدیل شود که قرار است رهبری سقوط جمهوری اسلامی را بر عهده بگیرد. گویی سرنوشت ایران از پیش تعیین شده بود و فرزند آخرین شاه آماده بود تا میراث قدرت را در دست بگیرد.
اما امروز او تقریباً از صفحات اخبار ناپدید شده است. و این سکوت ناگهانی باید مایه تأمل باشد.

We do not seek power for ourselves. We seek to transfer sovereignty to the people of Iran.

The principal mission of the Provisional Government announced by the National Council of Resistance of Iran is to transfer power to the people of Iran. Within no more than six months, it must organize free and fair elections for a Constituent Assembly.

I have said before that we are not seeking to seize power. We are prepared to transfer power from the tyrannies of the Shah and the Sheikh to its rightful owners—the people of Iran.

After sixty-one years of struggle, this is the noblest summit and the highest aspiration before us.
