Short, practical books that solve one problem: indoor growing in dark apartments, no-waste cooking for one, and a large-print memory journal for grandparents.
Three short books, one problem each.
The No-Window Farm: growing food in a small, dark apartment. No balcony, no grow-lights.
Table for One: simple, no-waste meals for one.
Room to Remember: a large-print memory journal for grandparents.

Four questions to ask a grandparent this week. Each one is a page in Room to Remember:
Where were you born?
Were you named after anyone?
Where did you go to play?
What frightened you as a child?
Start with whichever one they smile at. #FamilyHistory
The easiest food you can grow, free, tonight: cut the green tops off a bunch of green onions, keep the bottom two inches with the roots. Stand them in a glass, water just covering the roots. New growth in two or three days. Change the water every day or two.
Half an onion in the fridge again? Next time, chop the whole onion, use what tonight needs, and freeze the rest flat in a bag. It goes straight into a hot pan from frozen, already softened. Not for a salad. For anything cooked, it's as good as fresh. #CookingForOne
Your eyes are lying about your apartment light. They adjust so well to a dim room that a spot a lettuce seedling would starve in still looks fine. A free light meter app puts a number on it. Hold the phone flat where the leaves would sit, sensor up. #indoorgardening
