Will sometimes QRT on the main tho
Spider-Man: Brand New Day (Movie)
Obligatory MCU post because I've been in this since 2008. Overall, liked it a lot. All my spoiler-filled thoughts in the second image below!
Would give it a 7/10
The Threesome (Movie)
Sometimes a really good soundtrack can elevate a movie. This movie was fascinating with extremely good dialogue, but its score is the reason why it got bumped up to 4/5 stars for me. Could have done without the final twist, but still super recommend! ๐
Deltarune Chapter 5 Ch 3&4 didn't resonate with me nearly as much as 1&2 so I was surprised 5 worked for me. I love the villain, the gameplay, the music, and the overall message. It feels good to get more great character writing over ambiguous lore. Excited to play ch 6!
Glue!
Monster Hunter Wilds (Game)
There's so much to say. Absolutely loved the story, the cast, and the world. I definitely prefer this game to Rise. It feels grander and more epic in so many ways. I've only scratched the surface, and I can't wait to experience more. FINAL BOSS WAS RAW
Sundered (Game)
Sundered is a good game. However, you can just tell what year a game was released by how it plays. This was very much a Metroidvania Roguelike before Hollow Knight and Hades, and it's obvious. Cool game, but I'm sure I would have loved it a lot more in 2017
007: First Light (Game)
I waited years for this game, and it didn't disappoint. Probably the best Bond game. Love Patrick Gibson as Bond. A lot of neat mechanics littered through this solid third-person spy/shooter experience. Really looking forward to the sequel!
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book (Game)
Another GoodFeel game, another banger. This is another one of those creative sandbox Nintendo games. This feels like Yoshi's Story has finally been fully realized. Would love to see a return to Woolly World though...
Mixtape (GAME)
ignoring the discourse
Mixtape is a neat ride. Enjoyable characters, fun vibes, and a beautiful presentation. It's a great companion piece to the movie High Fidelity. A lot of parallels. Some of the story and dialogue didn't land with me, but it's still rad
Also, the performances were REALLY GOOD. Arjun's actor KILLED IT. Also, I really liked the direction they took Arjun's character. It's refreshing to see a character like him in the year 2026 when literacy rates are crashing.
SAROS (Game)
As a massive fan of Returnal, I was HYPE for Saros. And it mostly lived up to my expectations. The gameplay loop felt pretty good, not as good as Returnal, but still very enjoyable, and I didn't tire of it in the 25 hours I played.
My biggest issue with Returnal was the story. The story annoyed the heck out of me. For a while I thought Saros was going to pull the same twist, but it didn't thankfully. I don't think the story here was anything spectacular, but it was leagues better than Returnal's.
Sekiro (Game)
One of the hardest games I have ever played. It was supremely challenging, but also satisfying. Corrupted Monk and Divine Dragon are my two standout bosses in this game. Not my favorite outing by FromSoft, but still REALLY good. ALSO THAT MUSIC IS TASTY
ToS: Dawn of the New World
As someone who grew up with the original Symphonia, I had so much fun returning to its world and being with the cast again. Too bad the cast's writing is mostly bad, and the story is ALSO mostly bad. Tenebrae is the star of the game
thanks blazing
Advance Wars 2 (Re-Boot Camp)
Two lifetimes later, I've played the sequel. It RULES. Much better characterization and writing overall. The maps and tactics are leagues better. I will replay this game again someday. It is one of the best tactics games I have played. Lash BARK BARK
Advance Wars 1 (Re-Boot Camp)
Neat game that (hopefully) is the foundation for an incredible sequel. It's pretty barebones and could use a lot more depth, but I've been told the sequel delivers that, so I'm excited to get to that eventually!
Sentimental Value (Movie)
Probably tied with No Other Choice as my favorite movie of 2025. At first, I was pretty impressed by it, but as time went on, and as I listened to Cannock Chase more, I fell harder and harder in love with this movie. A beautiful and healing film
UNFORTUNATELY only the first half is perfectly paced and executed. The second half is...fine. It feels very RE5/6 which I don't particularly care for. Colorless. Gray. Unnecessary fanservice. It's still enjoyable, but it's a VERY noticeable downgrade
Love the game tho!
Resident Evil Requiem (Game)
ALRIGHT...
The best original entry in RE since 4 imo. (loved 7 and 8!)
The first half of this game is near-flawless. Perfect. Grace's exploration segment is exceptional, and cleaning up after her with Leon is so rewarding.
Project: Hail Mary (Movie)
This will likely be a Best Picture nom so I want to throw my opinion out to reference it in a year.
First half of the movie is outrageously amazing. Loses some steam in the second half, but still a fun time. I don't trust people who don't like Sci-fi
