third year student nurse, faculty president, RCN ambassador, NHS England student representative, published author, girl who’s still working it all out.
The absolute biggest shock, I am beyond grateful and feel so honoured. I never started advocating for reward, I did it because I knew what it was like to not feel heard.
I am so excited to continue my work🤍

@CYPStNN@Ujala935523512 Get familiar with what these clinical skills look like in practice! Watch someone, talk then through doing it (knowledge check) and then just have a go supervised. I did this with leg dressings and it honestly supported me so much in consolidation and competency!
@Mayz131 And then the progress I made once that was addressed was rapid. It’s also defined in so many different ways, it’s why the stress of you having your own journey etc is highlighted so much ☺️
@Mayz131 If I’m honest, I don’t think they’re is one. Everyone’s different, develops EDs for a different reason, copes different ways (eg if it stems from trauma and that’s still ongoing). Despite support I only got worse over a decade period, they addressed the root to my ED (1)
A privilege to be filmed for ITV news in relation to the cost of living crisis as a student nurse. Whilst I recognise my privilege, more needs to be done.

@CaraLisette As someone who’s had an eating disorder since they were 10, my mum did this and I hated it at the time, but what I was doing meant she was watching her child die. I don’t think it should be encouraged but I completely understand the desperation now.
