Tom Izzo and Michigan State, I owe you an apology.

Last year, I called MSU a Tier 3 Big Ten team. This year, I called them a Tier 4 Big Ten team and said they would struggle to make the tournament.

I thought the Spartans had unappealing rosters on paper, but Tom Izzo and his teams proved me very wrong. Michigan State continues to be one of the best programs in college basketball, regardless of the personnel.

The Spartans are for REAL. 💚
