A wonderful episode! By 1988 George had come a long way from the young man rendered in this impressionistic masterpiece from 1972 (#406). Captain Easy-to-Love, more like!
This week we discussed a 1982 #WorldSeries Champ who preferred not to talk to the press. "Silent George" Hendrick was a very good offensive outfielder, 4x All Star, won 2 rings, and had a nice 18 year career.
Other topics - Watts, bottles, Reggie

We said we would be back with a big name, The Hawk! Requested by a young listener who loves Andre Dawson in RBI Baseball. One of the best players in Expos history. Hall of Famer Hawk was 1987 NL MVP after hitting 49 Homers and driving in 137!
