It’s disheartening when a platform that could be used to connect people ends up feeling like a battleground of cruelty and division. Twitter is amplifying the loudest, angriest voices- it’s exhausting, especially when racism and lack of empathy flood this place.
X sucks.
"Donald Trump's government isn't protecting our communities. They're traumatizing our communities."
@GavinNewsom hits back at @realDonaldTrump after the president called on National Guard troops to squash the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles — he also claims Trump is to blame for the eruption of violence.
The Ranch Fire in San Bernardino is 4,000 acres and growing.
Meanwhile, 5 of California’s 14 National Guard fire crews are understaffed… because Trump deployed them for a political stunt in LA.
This isn’t just illegal. It’s dangerous.
Donald Trump, without consulting with California’s law enforcement leaders, commandeered 2,000 of our state’s National Guard members to deploy on our streets.
Illegally, and for no reason.
This brazen abuse of power by a sitting President inflamed a combustible situation putting our people, our officers, and the National Guard at risk.
Does anyone else find it odd that the CA situation isn't being covered live by any of the major networks? Not even an honorable mention. Folks are getting news about it almost entirely on social media.
@MSNBC Keep reporting!

As the federal government conducts chaotic immigration sweeps across the country, the state is deploying additional CHP to maintain safety on Los Angeles highways to keep the peace. It's not their job to assist in federal immigration enforcement.
The federal government is sowing chaos so they can have an excuse to escalate. That is not the way any civilized country behaves.
