@JWPascale Martin Luther King Day holiday bus service followed a Saturday schedule. Metro told riders the T2 bus was being serviced by Ride On. Ride On's dispatcher told a Ride On Supervisor that the T2 bus was being serviced by Metro. In the end, riders had no bus to ride.

@JWPascale At Friendship Heights bus terminal at the Metro station, one Ride On bus driver providing service on the WMATA L8 route opined about how Metro has not wanted to operate its buses in Montgomery County for years, and that is why Ride On buses serve the Metrobus routes.

@JWPascale Soon after the final T2 River Road Line no show Monday night, two more passengers were waiting at a T2 stop on River to return to Friendship. One said, from where he worked Martin Luther King Day, he had seen T2 buses passing all day, both Metro and some Ride On.

@JWPascale No T2 ever came, and the disgruntled would-be passengers dispersed, making what other arrangements they could. Metrobus routes in Montgomery County are often served by Ride On buses on weekends and holidays. The L8 Metrobus route was driven by a Ride On bus on MLK Day.

@JWPascale Dispatch radioed the Ride On supervisor back, saying that Metro was operating the T2 route on the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday. With the final T2 bus scheduled departure at 7:10 imminent, riders phoned Metro, who said Ride On was operating the T2 route on MLK Day.

@JWPascale Pulling into a different bus bay just before 7, a Ride On bus showing T2 drew waiting riders to run across the terminal. Again they were disappointed. The driver said to talk to the supervisor at the next bay over. The supervisor radioed dispatch.

@JWPascale MLK Day saw commuters stranded at Friendship awaiting the T2. That bus was supposed to be running a Saturday schedule but never appeared. From 5:40 p.m. Monday 16 Jan, if the 5:30 left Friendship Heights on time, the 6:20 never came, nor the night's last bus at 7:10...
