ALERT: @IDOTDistrict1 continues its work on IL Route 53. On Tuesday night, 9/29, Kirchoff under IL 53 will be closed for bridge girder removals from 7 PM to 5 AM. Northbound IL 53 exit ramp to Kirchoff will also be closed. Detour will be posted to use Rohlwing, Euclid, and Hicks.

On 9/12, the Beautification Commission held its annual Fall Decorating Event. 38 volunteers from Palatine & Fremd installed cornstalks on poles in downtown Palatine to set the festive mood for fall. Thank you volunteers, Commissioners, & PW Forestry Division for your hard work!

ALERT: Public Works needs to fix a water main at Smith/Wilson. Southbound Smith traffic shifted to middle lane from south of railroad tracks to Wilson. 2-way traffic maintained in northbound & middle lanes. Wilson from Hart-Greeley closed. Work will take several hours. No detour.
