He said you’re under arrest.

Nurse. Blue scrubs. Hospital policy in her hand. Unconscious patient. No warrant. No consent. Not under arrest. She walks the officer through the three legal lanes — warrant, consent, or arrest — and none of them apply. So she won’t stick a needle in a man who can’t say yes.

That’s when the “routine request” ends.

“Okay. No, we’re done. You’re under arrest.” He grabs her. Hand on her back. Phones out. She’s still saying she did nothing wrong while they walk her out of the unit she was protecting.

This isn’t complicated. You don’t get to bully a nurse into breaking the law because you’re impatient. She followed the rulebook. He followed his ego. One of them belonged in cuffs that night — and it wasn’t her.
